Wycieczka do Paryża (sprawozdania) Drukuj

As requested, the purpose of this report is to describe and assess our school trip to Paris that took place on 16 – 20 May 2012

Journey and accommodation:

We travelled to Paris by plane. Taking a plane is definitely a good choice because the flight is short and very comfortable. The airport is connected with the city train network so it is easy to get to Paris within a reasonable time. However, the city train stations are so crowded that our group separated by accident and due to that we were a little bit late for our check-in at a hostel. The hostel was located in a picturesque district of Paris – Montmartre. It is famous for its artistic atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable and there was room for up to six people, yet they were not beautifully furnished. There was just basic equipment.

Sight – seeing and entertainments:

Paris is a beautiful city and full of interesting places. As a matter of fact, it is not possible to see all of them in three days. In spite of time limit we had, our teachers had chosen for us places definitely worth seeing. We visited among other: The Eiffel Tower, the Notre-Dame cathedral, the Versailles, Champs Elysées, the Triumph Arch. The free time that our teachers set for us, was quite long and we dined in fancy restaurants. Just before our departure, we found an Italian restaurants. At first sight, it was a lovely venue with reasonable prices, but we soon realized that it was not possible to order anything because the waiters didn’t speak French or English, only Italian… I really recommend taking a multi-language translator if you plan to go there.

To sum up, the trip was really well organized the teachers took care of our safety all the time, especially Ms Agnieszka. Taking everything into account, I truly recommend going on such a trip and I would definitely go once again there with pleasure.

Report from Paris

Our trip to Paris took place in  the mid days of May (16th -20th). We were split into two groups. One flew with the principal and the French teacher via Air France, and the other flew with the Spanish teacher via Wizz Air. I was in the Wizz Air group.

The plane took off at about 17:00. The flight was short, only 2 hours 30 minutes. After that, we were taken by bus from the Beauvais airport  to our hostel in Paris. Our hostel was called “The Montclair”, it was in a district called “Montmartre”. Montmartre is full of artists and nice restaurants, but it is also full with pickpockets, prostitutes, and other unpleasant citizens.

This was the day when we saw the Eiffel Tower. We spent a lot of time there, climbing the tower up the stairs and enjoying the view of the city. Later we caught a train to Notre Dame, where we had lunch and some free time. We also saw the Sainte Chapelle chapel. Later on, we went to the Père Lachaise cemetery, but we only managed to see Chopin’s and Morrison’s grave.

After breakfast, we went to the Palace of Versailles. We saw the enormous royal gardens and visited the palace itself. Everybody enjoyed the gardens more than the building.
The next part of the day was the Bateaux – Mouche cruise on the Seine. Bateaux – Mouche is a special type of cruise boat. It is very popular in Paris. After that, we had some free time near our hostel.

The busiest day of all. We had to wake up earlier, in order to visit Musée d’Orsay, the impressionism museum. It was empty there in the morning. Later, we went for a very long free time – walk in Champs Elysées, where we visited exclusive shops. After that, we saw the Arch of Triumph. Then we all travelled to Centre Pompidou, the modern art gallery.
In the evening we went for dinner and watched the Champions League Finals.

On the last day we had a walk in Montmartre. We saw the Sacré-Cœur, the Je t’aime wall and the only vineyard in Paris. At about 19:40 our group was supposed to fly back to Poland, but we had a 2 and a half hour delay. We arrived at 00:05 in Warsaw.
